Movement Mortgage to occupy former Wells Fargo branch

Movement Mortgage will be taking over the former Wells Fargo Bank branch at 325 Jefferson Davis Highway in Fredericksburg. The company will occupy the 2,345-square-foot building, which is owned by the Janney family, in approximately 30-45 days. Brian Cunningham, Ben Keddie and Paul Janney with Coldwell Banker Commercial Elite handled the lease negotiations.

Freddy Donuts building features well-known muralist

Ever wonder the story behind the colorful mural on the Kenmore Avenue side of the Freddy Donuts building in Fredericksburg? Turns out it's the work of a famous Los Angeles-based graffiti muralist named Jules Muck.

Fredericksburg's Mayor Mary Katherine Greenlaw and City Councilor Kerry Devine discuss City Council's efforts to increase energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions while providing cost savings to taxpayers. In December 2019, City Council adopted a resolution that committed the City to the goal of powering municipal operations with 100 percent renewable energy by 2035. They have made significant progress toward that goal and in this episode of "Ask the Mayor" highlight some of the recent activity on their efforts.
