K-12 Resources
 
Education Career Fair: Save the Date
On March 30, 2020, TAMU will host its Education Career Fair at the Brazos County Expo Center. Make sure to register by March 1, 2020 if you plan on attending. More information can be found here.


Dr. Marilyn Cochran-Smith Presentation
On March 31, 2020, Marilyn C. Smith will have a presentation over "Teacher Education in Changing Times: Trends, Challenges, and Controversies." For more than 40 years, Marilyn C. Smith was a teacher education scholar and practitioner. She is also well known for her teacher education research, practice and policy, and for her commitment to teacher education. Marilyn C. Teacher Boot Camp- Summer 2020
Aggie STEM will be hosting Teacher Boot Camps, in which participants will have opportunities to participate in workshops. These workshops that will help teachers content development and pedagogical skills, while also creating hands-on classroom based activities. Interested? Click here!

CRDLLA Bilingual Series Conference
March 28, 2020

At the Center for Research & Development in Dual Language & Literacy Aquisition (CRDLLA) Bilingual Series 2020, individuals will receive a Lead Trainer Certificate. Send top teacher education students and educators for training in research-based strategies, which is based on 20 years of research in Bilingual and ESL classrooms. Learn and explore what makes ESL strategies effective and how to help improve student achievement and engagement in schools. More information and registration, here.

The Big Event
Texas A&M students prepare for the annual 'Big Event' in which students will gather and provide different acts of service to the communities of Bryan and College Station. On March 28, 2020, students will gather to say "Thank You" to their community through acts of yard work, painting, and window washing. To learn more, click here.
 

CEHD Turns 50
On April 25-26, 2020, Texas A&M will honor 50 of its leaders in honor of 50 years of excellence. Afterwards, there will be a celebration to celebrate this historic milestone. Click here to learn more.

PreparThree SWISD students taking the survey administered by Texas A&M.ing for Demographic Changes
Dr. Jean Madsen sought to prepare schools for major demographic changes, which are expected to occur within the next few years. With help with funding from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Dr. Madsen and her team formed a partnership with Southwest ISD in San Antonio, where they surveyed students, parents, teachers,                                                             and administrators to measure inclusivity and to identify areas of improvement.
