Dear <<First Name>>,

We are already a month into 2021, and we hope it has been going well for you!
2020 enabled us to work in new ways and places — while causing its fair share of disruption. However, with our work now rolling out in the field, we are prepared to take on challenges and new projects in this new COVID era.
With the fault lines in last-mile connectivity exposed further, our work at Outline India has perhaps become more relevant.

In this newsletter, we talk about working in new locations, field missions, challenges and about doing away with coding for data collection (TYM) - we are pulling up our socks as we brace for the beginning of this pivotal year.

At your service,
Team Outline India and TYM

Sesame Workshop India
We are conducting a baseline study for Play.Learn.Connect, an initiative of Sesame Workshop India to foster learning and development of migrant workers’ children. The thrust of the study is to measure and assess the level of engagement of the caregiver with the children through meaningful playful learning experiences. The research also delves into the caregivers’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to responsive parenting.
Asian Development Bank (ADB)
ADB and LinkedIn are preparing a joint report on state of skills in Asia, focusing largely on digital skills for new technology occupations. Outline India is undertaking surveys in India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Philippines and the USA to gain better insights into the future of next generation qualifications and credentials that are particularly suited for occupations at the time of the fourth industrial revolution. The aim is to identify emerging new types of credentials with a focus on professionals working in digital occupations.
American Institutes for Research (AIR)
We are partnering with American Institutes for Research (AIR) to prepare a brief on the Socio-economic and Environmental Outcomes of Organic Cotton Farm Initiatives in Madhya Pradesh, India.

We are delighted to announce that the team of Outline India has contributed a chapter to “Lives of Data” published in December 2020. Lives of Data, is a compilation of essays that traces the historical and emergent dynamics of big data, computing, and society in India.
