Stanford Medicine is making tangible progress in preventing, mitigating, and appropriately responding to the mistreatment of healthcare professionals by patients, families, and visitors.
In response to the increasing cases of mistreatment of faculty and staff at Stanford Medicine, the Stanford Medicine Task Force on Healthcare Professional and Staff Mistreatment by Patients, Families and Visitors, led by WellMD, made comprehensive recommendations, and leaders from across the enterprise have been focused on building the support, infrastructure, and processes identified by the task force. I am encouraged by our significant progress this year, and we will be spotlighting several notable improvements already made. This video highlights the new Stanford Health Care DART Team and the enhancements to the Stanford Children's Health SAFTeam.
