Thank you for your participation in the 2020 Doctor Survey. We achieved record response rates this year, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and provide input and suggestions for improvement. We recognize this year has presented unprecedented challenges due to the pandemic, and the results reflect that.
The preliminary organization-wide results from the 2020 survey have been shared with Dean Minor, the hospital executive leadership teams, Clinical Chairs, and other leaders. Improvement teams in a number of areas are already working to develop action plans based on the results.
The organization-wide survey results are summarized in the following video:

The results illustrate how much the experience among faculty varies by department and division. The WellMD & WellPhD Team is reviewing and discussing each department’s results with the Department Chair, Department Well-being Director and Department Improvement Leader (e.g. PIL) in a meeting this month or next. Your department results should be presented by your Department Well-being Director at an upcoming faculty meeting. Your Department Well-being Director also plans to lead further discussions with faculty to select and help design the department level improvement efforts in 2021.
The purpose of this survey is to drive change. Making progress requires intervention at the school, hospital, department, and division level. We thank you again for your participation and hope you will actively support the upcoming improvement efforts in your department and division over the next several months.
-The WellMD & WellPhD Team
Note: This year was the first year that the survey was also open to residents and fellows. The data from the resident and fellow survey will be disseminated in early 2021.
