Itinerant Teachers of Music (ITMs) perform a very important role in secondary schools, supporting the performance aspects of music courses, and enabling students to develop their musical talents in performance. Instead of teaching the ākonga at TCAS, we were treated to a symphony of sounds that delighted.

B O O K O F T H E W E E K The Ghost House, by Bill Nagelkerke Set in Christchurch, David decides to explore the Red Zone near his house. It is a deserted area devastated by the 2010/2011 earthquakes, with abandoned gardens and roads, and with one old house surrounded by trees and hedges. When he ventures into the house, David finds that it is not as empty as it appears. This is a great book and so full of excitement that it is easy to read – recommended for Y7+. Mrs McPhee
