Tēnā koutou,
What a fantastic start to the school year. The weather has been incredible and students have been enjoying reconnecting with each other, their teachers and their learning journey after the holiday break. It was great to start the year with a mihi whakatau to welcome our new staff, students, and their whānau. 2023 sees us welcome three new teaching staff, Matthew Simpson, Garrand Dietrichs and Julia Campbell as well as a new teacher aide Annie Riley. I would like to welcome you all to the TCAS Whānau and look forward to working with you. A special welcome to our international students. Kotaro Nagatsuka has joined us for 2023 and Shosei Tamura has joined us for Term 1. We have all been very excited about you joining us and we look forward to including you in all that our school and community have to offer while you are here. This year there has been a change to the times for assemblies. These have now been moved to the end of the day on alternate Fridays. We look forward to seeing our whānau at these assemblies and are hopeful that the change in time is more convenient for people. Please feel welcome to attend starting next Friday. We look forward to welcoming our families into school this year and I encourage you to put Thursday, February 16 in your diary as this is when our athletics day is. Enjoy the long weekend. I look forward to seeing everybody back at school on Tuesday.
Ngā mihi, Glenys Hanley Principal
