Thank you to parents for continuing to avoid the use of our lower car parking spaces. As you will be aware, the work on the driveway continues - regularly hampered by the rain! The bus drivers have raised concerns about the current restricted width of the top of the driveway and cars trying to pass buses. As such, we will need to restrict access between 2.30pm and 3.15pm until further notice. During this period of time, only school buses and cars for students with mobility needs should be moving around the school grounds. Our thanks in your understanding at this time. We don't want any more near misses!

The internal upgrade of the hall is nearing completion, I'm hoping we'll be able to enjoy assemblies and other activities in the hall before the end of the term.

A number of letters have been sent home recently - please look out for them in your children's bags! They include:

  • Camp notices (Room 3 Bat Camp and Y7/8 Camp)

  • Room 19 Dunedin Trip

  • Years 1-8 'Keeping Ourselves Safe' programme with NZ Police

  • NCEA Exam arrangements with Study Leave information for Y12 and 13

  • Years 9-11 'Sticks and Stones' Bullying Prevention Programme in partnership with Tokomairiro High School, Queens High School and South Otago High School - 11th November in Milton

Next week brings us the Mayoral 100% Attendance Event, a Primary Sports Extravaganza, Prizegiving and a Teacher Only Day. It certainly is a busy time of the year.

In preparation for Prizegiving, please ensure your child has full, clean, regulation school uniform for the evening. Untidy, or incorrect uniform items really stick out when students cross the stage. We wish for all students to represent both themselves and the school with pride in their achievement. If you are unsure of the uniform regulations, please refer to the school website, or pick up a uniform list from the Main Office.

Our Teacher Only Planning Day will be held on Thursday, November 7th. There will be no classes, and teachers will be involved in planning meetings all day. Apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused.
