IUCN Section on Small Apes turns to Species360 ZIMS for essential data on gibbons

The IUCN Primate Specialist Group (PSG), Section on Small Apes (SSA) has joined the Species360 research partner program, and will use ZIMS data to help those protecting and caring for gibbons. This is one of the many ways that zoos and aquariums, often through the collective work of partner associations such as WAZA, ZAA-Australasia, EAZA, and AZA, provide data essential to saving species.

Improving Animal Welfare: Zoo and aquarium staff use ZIMS to target ideal weights for all life phases

New in ZIMS for Husbandry: Animal care and welfare teams set Target Weight Ranges for individuals, groups, and phases of life --- from eggs to hatchlings, juveniles to seniors.
This is just one of the many new features designed to help teams monitor, manage, and report animal welfare improvements.

Also new in ZIMS: Batch edit saves time! 

Have you ever written a batch note or observation and then wanted to edit the batch?

Now you can! The ZIMS for Husbandry team added this functionality and the request of Species360 members.

Species Conservation: Researchers gain protective status for sunflower sea star

Oregon State University researchers tap thousands of studies. The result: the UCN lists the sunflower sea star as Critically Endangered. Species360 Conservation Science Alliance is pleased to join those enabling this study. Learn more here.
