Season Fees
To our valued seasonal customers of Sandaraska Park,
As we come to the end of another hot summer, hopefully you have had some time at the park to recharge and relax after what has been an unbelievable couple of years.
When we first purchased Sandaraska Park in 2019, we had no idea of the tsunami of events that were waiting for us. Two summers of COVID, an attack of gypsy moths, followed by a storm that would shut down the Ganaraska Forest. Despite the challenges we have faced over the last few seasons, we hope that you can all see how hard we worked to keep the park open and operating. We owe a huge thanks to all of our staff for all of their hard work.
Over the last few seasons, we have invested in a bathroom renovation, new playgrounds, La Barn overhaul with new windows and a kitchen, back parking lot, storage seacans, new trails, pest control, new paddocks, improved behind the scenes infrastructure like a secondary well and hydro improvements, and finally the newly finished sports court.
Our next big project is the expansion of the sewer system to the equestrian part of the park so that everyone can enjoy the modern comfort offered by a full-service system. Our hope is to have the installation complete by the spring of 2023, of course at this stage we wouldn’t blame anyone for being a little skeptical! The Ministry of Environment has finally assessed our flow litres per day and we are just awaiting final approval for the extension, as well as solidifying supply of piping and other materials needed. We continue to work tirelessly on this project, as we have for the last 3 years, but it feels like we are finally getting close.
Setting up a tiered rate system to better represent the diverse sites throughout the park is the final piece of the puzzle. We have spent a lot of time measuring, comparing, and assessing each and every site. The assessment is not based on the trailer that sits on the lot, or the landscaping done. Site size, location, surroundings, and overall desirability helped categorize them into five rate groups.
Please see attached new colour coded map with 5 rate categories. If you have any questions or concerns, you can of course reach out to us at any time. If you need time to pay or set up a payment plan, please get in touch and we can work something out together.
Sandaraska Park remains a unique park with endless potential. Thank you for a fantastic season. We look forward to another great year (hopefully without a tornado).
Take care,
Kyle and Morgan Jenkin
