As most of you are aware, a severe storm passed through the area. Some trailers and vehicles have been damaged by falling trees and branches, but thankfully, only some minor injuries reported and we hope for a speedy recovery to those affected.

Thank you to everyone who helped clear roads and get everyone to safety. The park has seen some severe damage and we are going to be very busy with clean-up over the next few weeks.

Camping reservations:
We are going to be contacting anyone whose reservations will be impacted by this as some sites will require repairs and major clean-up.

As of right now:
  • The opening of Ganny Court will be delayed until Friday June 17th
  • Pine Alley (equestrian camping) will be closed until this Thursday (May 26th)
  • the remaining standard camping sites throughout the park will be closed until this Thursday (May 26th)
We are hoping not to delay reservations further, but we will contact guests directly if we need to make adjustments. We are still continuing to assess the extent of damage to sites and utilities.

Ganaraska forest:
Be aware that all Ganaraska trails and the Ganaraska Forest Centres are CLOSED and will remain closed until further notice. You can find their Facebook where they post constant updates by clicking here. The conservation areas have seen some devastation, so please stay clear of these areas.

The power is still out, but we know Hydro One is working on restoring it. You can track their progress on their outage map by clicking here, or download their app onto your phone. Unfortunately, we have no updates other than what they post on there.

What to expect next:
We understand that you may already be in contact with insurance adjusters regarding damaged trailers and vehicles, but please be aware that they will not be able to assess your property until we finish clearing off branches and debris. We are going to be dealing with clean-up in stages based on urgency. Please continue to follow us on Facebook for updates.

Be advised that our phone lines have been impacted, so the best way to contact us is through email. Please try to limit your inquiries to urgent matters only and we will do our best to respond.

Once again, thank you for your support and understanding. Please stay safe everyone!
