2019/20 lighting trends features mixed metals and sculptural lighting. Marble, quartz, brass, iron and bronze are mixed in both sculpted and geometric forms, producing stunning combinations that are contemporary but also elegantly classic.
Classic metal finishes like hand-rubbed or antiqued brass and aged iron are featured, with textures that are brutalised and beaten, rather than smoothed or glossed – “perfectly imperfect”. These “worked” metal finishes bring richer and more varied tones that add depth to contemporary decorative styles.
Pendants, chandeliers and lamps too play an increasingly proud and “statement-like” role in interior design, to the point where they are being considered as art pieces. More than ever, the sculptural lamp is now a statement piece in a room's overall design. Over the next few months, Bloomingdales will be introducing many exciting new products that reflect these trends.

Products that move lighting and occasional furniture forward.
