Dear <<First Name>>,

Please join the Center For Family Representation for a unique and uplifting learning experience about the child welfare and juvenile justice systems – and the mothers, fathers and youth we advocate for and represent every day, in and outside of court. Our clients, and their families, are resilient people, who persevere against systemic racism and often, extreme poverty, to fight to raise their children and keep their families together.

We will bring their stories to you in a virtual lunch – Celebrating Resilience – on Thursday, October 21st from 1:15 -2:00 pm.  You can join us over lunch at your desk, the Boardroom or your kitchen table – and the event is free so you can invite team members and others to share this community-building experience!

Our last virtual event attracted an audience of over 500 people, representing major law firms, public defender organizations like CFR and many City and State officials.  We were joined by our staff and clients as they described how the pandemic put the wheels of justice on pause for our clients, keeping families separated and youth incarcerated. Now as the City reopens, our clients will meet even more challenges, like housing and job instability.  Nevertheless, they never give up and neither will we.

This virtual event will highlight how our anti-racist and holistic model of family and juvenile defense fosters resilience by offering respect and support instead of judgement and separation.

We invite you to join us in this important work by becoming a sponsor of Celebrating Resilience. Your support will help us continue to provide the excellent legal representation and social work advocacy our clients and their families deserve.

We hope you will join us in Celebrating Resilience! Details on the various levels of sponsorship and corresponding recognition benefits can be found here. If you have any questions or would like any additional information, please contact our Director of Development and Communications Anne Conroy at or 646-276-5634.

With Gratitude,

Michele Cortese
