For BOTs, principals, science HODs and technicians
New health and safety guidelines
The long-awaited Ministry of Education document -
Safety and Science/Pūtaiao: Guidance for Aotearoa New Zealand schools and kura
- has just been released. It is downloadable, but as a ‘living document’ changes will continue to be made, and teachers will need to monitor them. The document is
on the TKI webpage about Planning for Science programmes, under Safety
. All HODs will need to ensure that their school systems are compliant with these guidelines.
Some mistakes have already been found in the document; if you find others, please feel free to add them to this list -
Safety and Science edits
- which will be eventually shared with the ministry so that corrections can be made.
