ERO Science webinars in May

ERO is running three practical, one-hour webinars about science teaching for secondary, primary and ECE teachers in May.

Secondary webinar

ERO's secondary teachers' webinar will be held on Thursday May 20 from 4.30pm. It will work through practice examples in a variety of secondary school settings, and draw on results from ERO’s recent science report, Growing Curiosity: Teaching Strategies to Engage Years 5 to 11 Students in Science. RSVP to TeIhuwaka@ero.govt.nz; the webinar link will be sent out closer to the time.

Primary webinar

ERO's primary teachers' webinar will be held on Tuesday May 18 from 4pm, for teachers who are keen to find new ways to engage their learners with science.  It will also draw on the results of two ERO reports, Growing Curiosity: Teaching Strategies to Engage Years 5 to 11 Students in Science and Science in the Early Years: Early Childhood and Years 1-4. ECE webinar

ERO's webinar of practical actions for ECE kaiako looking to strengthen their science teaching will be held on Wednesday May 19 from 5.30pm. The webinar will draw on results from ERO’s science report, Science in the Early Years: Early Childhood and Years 1-4.
