FROM OUR CHAIR
The Georgia Legislative Black Caucus offers our prayers and appreciation to the service members and families who made the greatest sacrifice for our country. As a veteran, this is a very personal holiday. It is a time for reflection and recognizing the freedoms we enjoy are not free. There is a cost for preserving our democracy and today we honor those brave men and women who were willing to give everything to protect the United States.
We also honor our first responders who face unknown dangers to ensure our safety. Today, be thankful for your family, friends, and loved ones. Appreciate the country you have and the blessings it offers. Exercise your rights that so many have fought to protect.
Add to the beauty that is America.
Senator Tonya P. Anderson
