Remaining Vigilant and Focused

Early voting began yesterday in Georgia. Please make a plan to vote safely if you intend on voting in person. If you desire to vote with an absentee ballot, there is a link below to submit your request. It is critical we exercise our civic duty and ensure our voices are heard at the polls. If you have any issues at the polls please call 1-888-730-5816.

Last week we hosted our Annual Legislative Conference (October 7-9). We enjoyed rich and relevant dialogue about an array of policy issues impacting Georgians. Attendees were able to hear from legislators and thought leaders about criminal justice reform, reducing health disparities, education equity, building black wealth, and other topics of note.

To see the conference again visit our websiteYouTube channel, or Facebook page.

Moving forward, our caucus will compile what we learned to craft a legislative agenda reflective of what the people want.

Thank you to all the panelists who shared their passion and wisdom. Thank you to all the GLBC members who served as panelists, moderators, or behind the scenes. And, thank you to all who attended the conference. We hope you found it engaging and impactful.

As Chair of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus (GLBC), I am proud to represent the 65 members who serve in the Georgia General Assembly.
