Advantage Valley and RCBI to Continue

Advantage Valley has co-hosted three successful B2B events with RCBI in an effort to link the small business community to large companies in the region. The most recent expo with the Chemical and Polymer industry resulted in 239 one-on-one, five-minute meetings between representatives from 8 large prime companies (including APG Polytech, Braskem, Clearon, DuPont, Kureha, Optima Belle, MATRIC and Rubberlite) and representatives from almost 70 small businesses.
Over recent months, similar expos focusing on the automotive parts manufacturing and DOH construction industries resulted in several West Virginia companies executing new contracts and becoming registered vendors for leading manufacturers in those sectors, according to Derek Scarbro, director of RCBI's Appalachian Hatchery initiative. Video

Advantage Valley and RCBI will continue sponsoring popular Supply Chain Expos. Great feedback continues to flow in from these B2B events, with primes reporting 10-15 new contracts executed as a result.
