SBNA Communications Consultant Request for Proposal
Southwest Bend Neighborhood Association (SBNA) is seeking a part-time communications consultant to help form and deliver communications to neighbors within its boundary. SBNA is a grassroots organization that strives to keep neighbors apprised and involved in issues that affect the area.
Ability to work remotely
Strong experience in social media platforms and integrations
Experience working with Neighborhood Association or other grassroots organizing a plus
Ability to use a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion lens in communications plans
Familiarity with local television and radio news processes to coach SBNA Board Members on content preparation and pointers for live presentations.
Project deliverables will vary depending on the consultant we hire and the budget. Deliverables might include the following:
At least 4 social media posts per month
One newsletter per month featuring content at the direction of the board and regular notices using MailChimp (template, etc.)
One ad campaign per month - including content creation, targeting, and reporting
Attend a two hour board meeting once a month, plus 1 hour consultation by phone or Zoom per month
Announcements and collateral for two special meetings per year
Survey design, distribution, & reporting once per year
Collaborate and coordinate with web consultant
Develop a long range comms plan & maintain a communications calendar
Graphic design as needed
Present recommended Volunteer NA Communications organization structure including task descriptions, skills required. These tasks to be staffed by volunteers.
Our project timeline is July 1, 2021–June 30, 2022. The project timeline will create a foundation to improve and build upon our communications on NA issues and outreach.
