VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

                 VITALANT

Oftentimes would-be volunteers just do not have much time to give back to their community. Between job responsibilities and family obligations, it's difficult to squeeze in even one more activity. Fortunately there's an easy way for you to make a great impact - a way that takes very little time and even less effort. In fact, you get to just kick back, relax, and save people's lives. How? By donating blood!

So where should you go to donate blood? Vitalant! The Tupelo office is located at 4326 South Eason Blvd. (on the hill). They also have bloodmobiles that may just be making a stop near you. In fact, if you host a blood drive, you can make certain that the folks in your area have an easy opportunity to donate. Speaking of blood drives, Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford hosts a blood drive on the first Monday of every month from 1:00-4:00. The total time from check-in to check-out is about an hour (although the actual blood donation portion of your visit is only about 10 minutes). Why not stop in and make a huge difference in someone's life?

To schedule an appointment to donate, call 877-258-4825 or go to bloodhero.com.
