NONPROFIT SPOTLIGHT
                United Way
       Of Northeast Mississippi

United Way of Northeast Mississippi partners with 63 nonprofits in 7 counties to help create positive change in the community. The new campaign, titled "Because of You," is underway, and the folks at United Way are hard at work spreading the word about ways YOU change lives with your donations. United Way's partner agencies provide services in three focus areas: family stability, academic success, and health and wellness. When you donate to United Way, you are investing in your community.

In addition to funding other agencies, United Way also conducts projects of its own. For example, in July, United Way, with the help of 50 volunteers, packed boxes of school supplies that were then donated to all K-6 classes in Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lee, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Tishomingo, and Union Counties.

Teachers at Okolona Elementary were pleased to receive supplies from United Way's Mike Mitchell (center).

United Way is also co-hosting the upcoming Nonprofit Fair along with Volunteer Northeast Mississippi and Tupelo Young Professionals (see details below).
