St. Luke Food Pantry
One of the largest food pantries in Mississippi, St. Luke provides food for more than 1200 Lee County families per month. Those in need may receive a box of food once per month. The pantry is open every Thursday from 8:00 am - 12:00 noon. Each week 20-25 volunteers are needed to help the distribution run efficiently.
Like most food pantries, St. Luke partners with other organizations to help them meet the needs of the food-insecure population. One of the most unusual partnerships is with the Lee County Sheriff's Department, which provides inmates to volunteer each week. These individuals provide a tremendous service and often return to volunteer after they are released.
Thank you, St. Luke, for helping to meet the needs of food-insecure Lee Countians.

If you have not submitted your Volunteer Activity Report for February yet, please do so by March 15.
These reports are vital to letting funders know that Mississippi nonprofits are utilizing volunteers to help keep costs down.
If you have already sent in your numbers, thank you!
Volunteer NEMS gets calls every day from people who want to volunteer, and of course, we direct them to the online hub. If your organization is not registered on there, how will these potential volunteers know about you? Register today - then post a volunteer opportunity or two. It's FREE
