NONPROFIT SPOTLIGHT
                Saints' Brew

Saints' Brew in Tupelo is the place to be for many in our community who are hungry or food-insecure. Every weekday morning, a hot breakfast is served by an all-volunteer staff. The program has come a long way, especially considering it started in late 2007 as a temporary ministry with the idea of continuing only through the Lenton season. In its first week, four people were served. Nowadays they serve more than four HUNDRED meals per week.

Thank you to All Saints' Episcopal Church and all the volunteers who make it possible for those in need to start their day with your smiling faces and a hearty meal.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
On Thursday, September 19, Volunteer NEMS is partnering with United Way of NEMS and Tupelo Young Professionals to host a nonprofit expo at BancorpSouth Arena. The public will be invited to learn from the 100 nonprofits represented what the agencies do, where donations go, and how volunteers make a difference. If your agency is already registered on the Mississippi Hub Network (see list at right), you will receive an invitation to participate with a link to register. If your agency is not yet on the Hub, register now. The Hub is a free service, and the nonprofit expo is free as well.

If your organization has not yet joined The Alliance, please consider joining today.

The Alliance is the result of a merger between The Mississippi Center for Nonprofits and the Mississippi Assocation  of Grantmakers. The goal of The Alliance is to help solve statewide problems. They provide resources that will greatly enhance any nonprofit's abilities to serve its target audience.
