Congratulations to Professor Abegunde

Please join us in congratulating Professor Albert Abegunde on becoming a Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at Obafemi Awolowo University. Keep up the great work, Prof. Abegunde!

Dr. Adenomon Awarded Status of Chartered Statistician

Dr. Adenomon holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria under the supervision of Prof. Oyejola. He became a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, London, UK in 2019. On 25th September 2019, Dr Adenomon was awarded the status of a Chartered Statistician (CStat) of the Royal Statistical Society, UK which is the highest status of the society.  Dr. Adenomon created the NSUK-LISA, Nigeria on 31st January 2018 through the Mentorship of Prof. Olubusoye (UI-LISA) with the support of Prof. Eric Vance (Director LISA). In addition, Dr. Adenomon has won the following fellowships and Grants:
  1. TETFUND Researcher Grant (2015) as Principal Investigator
  2. TETFUND Manuscript Development Grant (2017) as a Sole Author.
  3. TETFUND Research Grant (2018) as Co-Investigator.
  4. Nasarawa State University Travel Grant (2018) to AAU, Ghana.
  5. LISA Scholar travel Grant (2019) to Malaysia
  6. TETFUND International Conference Travel Grant (2019).
  7. Young Researcher travel grant (2019) from Central Michigan University, USA.
Presently, Dr. Adenomon is a serving member committee on Special Interest Group in Sport statistics of the ISI.

Full Proposal Application Details Released for TEACH Fund:

The TEACH Fund Full Proposal Application details have been released, you can see them here. Full, Transitional, and Proposed Members of the LISA 2020 network are eligible to apply. If you submit a concept note by Monday, 14 October 2019, you will receive notification on 18 October 2019 as to whether you are invited to submit a Full Proposal.

  • 14 October 2019 – Due date for Concept Notes
  • 18 October 2019 – Notification of invited Full Proposals
  • 11 November 2019 – Due date for Full Proposals
  • 6 December 2019 – Teach Fund award announcements
  • 1 February 2020 – Tentative start date for awarded TEACH Fund projects
