Hats off again to Barry Rudel, for a splendid and engaging discussion of the Jewish community’s impact in the history of Johnstown. 
We are inviting you to another forum on Thursday November 14th when Bob Jeschonek introduces his new book, Thanksgiving at Glosser’s.  Bob will have books for sale and signing. 
The standing-room-only crowd last night says two things: 

  1. Those who live here, work here, moved here, visit here want to know more about our cultural  heritage; and   
  2. The Mission of Gallery on Gazebo – to illuminate and celebrate the lives of our diverse audiences through activities that engage, inspire and educate- is being fulfilled

Enjoy a nippy Friday night at the Movies, starting at 6:00 PM at the Gallery.  You will be treated to Rizzo’s signature foods, refreshments, a classic film and an opportunity to secure unique items at our Silent Auction.  The $35. donation benefits the completion of the Piazza.  Go to for reservations.  Seating is limited. 
Wednesday, November 6, 6:00-8:00 PM, starts the 3-week series of Zentangle with Gloria Vatavuk.  It’s the perfect activity for relaxation and a launch pad for an impressive winter hobby.  $50.  Gloria has room for a few more students.  Call 539-4345.
The feisty, irrepressible Plein Air painters continue on Saturdays at what we hope is a hot spot this week.  Greenhouse Park.  10:00 AM.   Joanne Mekis and Kathy Samay are predicting Sunshine.  Loretto-born mentor and celebrated  Pittsburgh plein art artist,  Ron Donoughe is  proud of you!  We look forward to sharing their visual “story” with you next year.

Thursday, November 21stLet’s Do Johnstown!  The first of our four architectural tours of Downtown buildings.   Be prepared to not only discover the existence but also the real potential and possibilities in our midst.  The tour features John Dubnansky, the City’s Economic and Development Director, historians, entrepreneurs and professionals.

Friday, November 22nd.  Celebrate Light-Up Night.  Central Park’s famous Christmas Tree comes to Life!  The Gallery offers a warm backdrop with the art of “Home."

Saturday, November 23rd.  Opening Reception for Home, an irresistible exhibit.   2-5:00 PM

Saturday, November 30th.  We are proud to join the merchants around the City for Small Business Saturday.
