This year, we are also holding a Summer Reading Story Hour program for ages 2 through Pre-K. More information about this program can be found on our Summer Reading Story Hour page.

We Who Believe in Freedom: A Community Conversation

Join us for a free community conversation with Dr. Alice Green about her book We Who Believe in Freedom: Activism and the Struggle for Social Justice. In discussion with Paul Grondahl, Green will talk about her experience as a lifelong advocate for social justice, discuss historic and continuing challenges in our community, and share the work she is currently doing and how community members can help.

The first 100 people to register for this program will receive a free copy of the book!

The program will be offered online, with a Zoom link sent following registration. Register here.

This program is presented in collaboration with the Center for Law and Justice and the New York State Writers Institute and is provided by the Upper Hudson Library System

Summer Spice Club

Love to cook, bake, or simply experiment in the kitchen? Join us at the library for flavorful summer fun! Create a dish using a featured spice, then meet at the library every 2 weeks to share your cooking adventures. Bring in samples to share, photos of your creations, or just a story about how your delicious dish came to be.

Register using this form. While registration is not required, it helps us ensure there are enough seats at the table for everyone! Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies. See the full spice schedule here.
