Good morning <<First Name>>,

Welcome to our first installment of D6 Community Announcements: May edition! Have an event for us to let people know about in the next edition? Let us know at haneystaff@sfgov.org.

TODAY: Rally for Clean & Healthy Streets
Join us for the unveiling of our 10 Point Plan for Clean & Healthy Streets at Boeddeker Park, today at 12:30pm. Read more about what we're doing here.
May 18: Dog Park Grand Opening
We've been working hard to open Mission Bay's parks and streets, and on May 18th you'll be able to take the newly opened Channel St or Mission Bay Blvd North or South (the streets are set to open on May 3rd!) to the Grand Opening of the Mission Bay Dog Park at El Dorado and Channel
May 23: Office Hours
RSVP to our May Office Hours by e-mailing haneystaff@sfgov.org.
May 1: People Protected Crosswalk
Join me, People Protected, WalkSF, SF Bike Coalition and SF Transit Riders to form a people-protected crosswalk at Market & Montgomery this Wednesday. Half a million people walk on Market Street every day. Yet Market St is a High Injury Corridor: it's one of San Francisco's most dangerous streets on which to walk or bike. Read more about the event and broader effort here.
May 6-11: Affordable Housing Week
San Francisco is celebrating its annual Affordable Housing Week during the first week of May. Sponsored by the Council of Community Housing Organizations (CCHO), events include policy panels, groundbreakings for affordable housing projects, and educational workshops all uplifting the housing affordability issues our communities are facing, while offering solutions and rich conversation. Check out the full list of events!
May 9: Bike to Work Day
We're celebrating Bike to Work Day 2019 with the SF Bike Coalition. Join our Neighborhood ride into City Hall and help make May 9th the best biking day of the year! We'll be biking from Boeddeker Park starting at 7:45am. Help make our Neighborhood ride the biggest in the City and sign up to pedal in with us here
May 16 and 18: South Downtown Design & Activation
The South Downtown Design and Activation Plan will provide a framework for designing, implementing, and managing the public realm in the emergent neighborhood surrounding the Transbay Terminal and Rincon Hill. The plan covers a quadrant of roughly 30 blocks of the city! The East Cut Community Benefit District and SF Planning Department want your input: join them for one of two open houses, and learn more here
