Water Play in the Library (and in Preschool)?

We were excited to see this blog post by the American Library Association (ALA) about bringing water explorations into library programs. We were glad that the post did NOT say that heavy things sink and light things float (a common misconception)!

Water is so fun! We talk about exploring water with preschool teachers in our book's science chapter, and there are a ton of other great books and resources on the topic.

Here is a smattering:

Books

I Get Wet, by Vicki Cobb
Who Sank the Boat?, by Pamela Allen
Over and Under the Pond, by Kate Messner
Things That Float and Things That Don't, by David A. Adler and Anna Raff

Exploring Water with Young Children, by Ingrid Chalufour and Karen Worth
