Research and insights

Are insects leading the transformation of the global food waste industry?

Insects can produce 200 times more protein per acre of land than soybean meal, and within 10 days, insects can transform our food waste into protein-rich food. Insect bioconversion is already reshaping the food waste industry overseas, and with over 2 million tonnes of food being wasted each year in Victoria, there is significant opportunity on our doorstep.
