Updates and events from your neighborhood.
Hello Waltherson,

What a great time we all had at our meet-&-greet meeting at Walther Gardens on August the 13th. We had a terrific turn out and chatted with our elected officials, met some new neighbors & talked with some familiar faces, too. It was our quarterly meeting we so still had to go over business, too. We posted the topics on our Facebook page & websites. We will meet again on November the 12th but haven't decided yet where. We will keep you posted on line. Usually our November meeting is a pot-luck gathering because it should be the biggest meeting of the year: ELECTIONS! So please, if you are interested in getting involved on the Board, come join us. Terms are for 1 year, the board meets monthly & everyone helps each other. You'd be surprised at all the things that are handled behind the scenes.

Waltherson continues to stay abreast of all our neighborhood concerns & meetings, including those in our surrounding areas. At a last minute meeting we all went nearby to meet our City Commissioner to express our thoughts about crime. We carry your voices & speak on your behalf. We follow permits for variances outside the perimeters of the law, updates about new businesses, vacant or abandoned homes & even fun things like the upcoming Lauraville Fair & the Little Libraries, which Katie notes below. Whenever we get new information, we try to post it to get your feedback, so please stay in touch on line. It's our greatest communicator.

We also encourage people to get involved with our Block Captains & our C.O.P (Citizens on Patrol).

Enjoy the upcoming Fall temperatures. See you in November!

WIA President
Interested in getting involved in the Waltherson Improvement Association? We will be holding board elections at the next public meeting on November 12. Board members participate in monthly meetings and address issues that arise between public meetings. Get in touch at if you are interested in running.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on August 13 for the Snowball Social and meeting at Walther Gardens. It was great to see so many neighbors get together, discuss neighborhood issues, and enjoy a beautiful summer evening. Out next public meeting will be November 12. We hope to see you there!
The Greater Lauraville Fair is coming up on September 28 on Parkside Drive between Harford and Walther. The Fair is a great chance to get to know neighborhood businesses and organizations. While you're there, come by to say hi and ask any WIA questions you may have.
Keep an eye out for Little Free Libraries in Waltherson! We recently partnered with Station North Tool Library to provide instruction in making Little Free Libraries and Little Free Pantries. If you pass one, grab a new great read or donate a book you think your neighbors will enjoy!

Save the Date!

Join us November 12, 2019 from 7-9 for the Waltherson Improvement Association's quarterly member meeting. Agenda and location TBA but make sure to mark your calendar to join us.
