Literary festival Jolabokaflod PDX kicks off tonight!

Hi all,

Jolabokaflod PDX, the "book flood" winter festival, is upon us: and it's all online and free to drop in on as you wish! I especially hope you'll come to my panel, which is tomorrow, Saturday, December 19, at 3:00 p.m. Pacific. Along with authors Allan Batchelder and Margaret Pinard, I'll be talking about writing fantasy worlds, and you can watch and comment live via YouTube, at this link. (You won't be on video; you'll just leave text comments there if you feel like it.) Also, those commenting to contribute to the discussion will be entered to win a copy of Lava Red Feather Blue

The whole Jolabokaflod PDX schedule looks deliciously enticing, with lots of events I hope to drop in on and enjoy myself. Browse and see what you might like to watch. It starts tonight with the kick-off event, at 7:00 p.m. Pacific, which will provide fun info about the whole festival and its many giveaways.

Meanwhile, if you just can't wait a day to see me on video, I have recently put up a brief clip where I'm reading from Lava Red Feather Blue. It includes an announcement that I'll be signing books in person at Paper Boat Booksellers in West Seattle on Saturday, January 9, 2021—so if you'll be in the area, I hope you can show up! (Masked, of course, and quite possibly outside, weather permitting.)

That's all for now—I hope you're finding time this season to relax and enjoy the things in life you love.

Take care,
