It's romance season! Is grammar your love or your nemesis?

Happy February, all,

First, a cover reveal for my upcoming ebook, Sage and King! Isn't it lovely?

You can read more about this story here, and I'll tell you more in coming weeks too. Meanwhile, if you're a NetGalley reviewer, keep an eye out: it will likely show up there in the next month or so.

Love of language isn't the type of love most people expect to hear about in Valentine season, but that's just how quirky I am. I've been busy lately with editing work: in fact, I'm now a member of the Northwest Editors Guild! I do have some availability this month and next, and looking ahead farther too, so contact me if you cannot sort out your affects from your effects, and your manors from your manners. (Did you know the original Shakespeare quote is actually "to the manner born," not "to the manor born"?)

Here's my social media poster on the topic. These rates are on the low side for the industry, as I'm still getting established and would love to build my client list.

Finally, for those of you who are Kindle Unlimited users, you can now read several of my books via KU. If you do—or if you've read them any other way and liked them—please leave a review on Amazon! It's where most people look to learn about a book, and the more reviews, the more visibility Amazon gives it. A brief review is fine, as they seem to value quantity over quality: 100 one-line reviews give the book more of a boost than five essay-length reviews. I know; it makes no sense. But play along for us authors' sake if you will.

If you're in the Pacific Northwest like me, I hope you're ready for the snow that is supposed to be rolling our way! And wherever you are, I hope you get your favorite Valentine candy. Totally legit to buy it for yourself.

Take care,
