It's humbug! But you'll still want to listen to it.

Our little holiday gift to you:

The group read-aloud of our excerpt from A Christmas Carol is here!

Thirty or so volunteers signed on to read a piece of the spooky scene where Scrooge meets Marley's ghost, and this is the amazing result. The voices are a total delight this year, a mix of old friends and new, including some especially hilarious and charismatic kids. I loved hearing you all and putting it together into one whole! And please give extra applause to composer Michael Gordon Shapiro for not only the musical accompaniment, but for the audio-smoothing magic that makes this the prettiest-sounding read-aloud yet. Thank you, Mike!

Past years' group read-alouds, which have centered around spooky literature for the Halloween season, can be found and listened to at the bottom of this page.

Happy holidays, all!
