Participants will learn how they can connect their library patrons with print disabilities to CELA’s collection of alternate formats and accessible reading technologies. CELA has additionally developed learning paths with suggested webinars and videos to offer professional development resources relating to accessibility in libraries. Respectful Terminology: Creating a National Framework
The National Indigenous Knowledge and Language Alliance (NIKLA) serves all knowledge sectors including libraries and museums. This organization has been a decade in the making, but is now established and planning their first event: Respectful Terminology: Creating the National Framework. This free national event is centered on identifying the next steps to develop a framework for respectful terminology, and aims to bring the communities together to walk the path of creating a national Indigenous-led framework for respectful terminology.  Register today!
