by Devon Thornsby from US News

With an ever-growing number of households throughout the U.S., homebuyer activity has highlighted the housing shortage across the U.S. in 2021 – in particular for homes at entry- and mid-level price ranges. With supply chain issues, labor shortages and regulatory practices further slowing new home construction, houses aren’t being built fast enough to meet demand, and home prices are rising fast as a result.

Remodeling your bathroom remains one of the best ways to add value to your home. According to SF Gate, a 2012 survey by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) showed the most popular home remodel is bathrooms. Remodeling Magazine also notes a full bathroom remodel returned 62.5% of its $15,782 investment. A second survey by NAHB in 2013 further assessed what buyers wanted in their bathrooms. 51% of respondents did not want a main bathroom with only a shower stall; 81% preferred a full bathroom on the main level, with 45% of them considering this full bathroom a crucial component of any home they would consider purchasing.

12 Places in DE That Are Worth the Drive
Only in Delaware
One of the best things about living in Delaware is how close everything is. You can drive from the very top of the state to the very bottom in around two hours, which isn't too bad compared to how long it takes to get from one town to the next in a larger state like Texas or California. What makes it even better is that these rural spots that may be a bit further tend to be worth the drive. Spots like Trap Pond State Park ad Assawoman Bay are included on this full list of local spots to check out.

We had the pleasure to work with Sandy on a purchase of a new home at the Delaware Beach. That meant we had to sell our existing beach house. We listed our home just prior to the pandemic hitting. We did not know what to expect. Sandy developed a professional marketing plan with photographs, brochures, drone footage, and an aggressive open house schedule. Our house sold! She led us through the coordination both transactions (mortgage, title, inspections, etc.). Sandy knows the shore and its communities. I would highly recommend her for the purchase or sale of any real estate. Besides being a top-notch Realtor; she also bakes a pretty darn good loaf of sourdough bread!

What My Clients Are Saying...
Miyagi Ramen Bar
Featured Restaurant

Miyagi Ramen Bar in Rehoboth started as a simple conversation between two friends with a passion for ramen. Their main goal was "to bring non-processed home-cooked meals with fresh ingredients to the Delaware beaches," something they strive for every day. Miyagi's name comes from Miyagi Prefecture in Japan, a Sister State to Delaware that was hit by a major earthquake and tsunami in 2011. Small businesses like Miyagi helped selflessly with the relief and rebuilding efforts, giving their name an even greater meaning. If you're looking for a warm atmosphere offering authentic and fusion ramen filled with freshly made noodles every day, look no further than Miyagi Ramen Bar.
