Sue Nyden is an active member of the RD20 Democratic Committee, which is dedicated to searching for, supporting and electing Democratic candidates to public office. Their committee’s effectiveness is evidenced by the 2022 election of Stell Parker Selby as the District 20 State Representative and, combining forces with RD 14, Eastern Sussex Dems and others, Russ Huxtable as the District 6 State Senator. Sue will be our guest speaker for our March 1st meeting and will share her knowledge and successful strategies.  As election cycle 2024 is already underway, please join us for this valuable and inspiring information that will greatly help us here in the 38th RD. 

  

Jane Gruenebaum, a member of Eastern Sussex Democrats and resident of RD 14, is a founding member of the Sussex Preservation Coalition – a coalition of community, state and national groups focused on promoting sustainability, resiliency and on protecting the natural environment. Massive, poorly regulated over-development in Sussex County has destroyed forests, wetlands and natural habitats.  It has clogged our roads and stressed our infrastructure.  Over-development and climate change have made Sussex County more vulnerable to flooding and less resilient.  The Sussex Preservation Coalition is working to promote codes, regulations and policies that slow or stop further damage, repair, or remediate existing damage and that contribute to a sustainable and resilient community.
