As we’ve been doing over the weeks, and in response to Phase 2 of the Governor’s orders on mass gatherings, and space limitations at The Village Chapel, we are not holding in-person services at this time. However, we continue to worship with you virtually, and invite you to view this week's message and music from Cindy Sellers.
Dear Village Chapel Singers and Extended Chapel Family,
From the Lectionary, Psalm 138 excerpts from verses 1, 7 and 8.
“I will give Thee thanks with my whole heart.”
“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, Thou wilt revive me.”
“Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, endureth forever.” (ASV)
Today’s anthem is a gentle reassurance that, regardless of the challenges or sorrows in our lives, God walks with us always:
“May you see God’s light on the path ahead when the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear, even in your hour of sorrow, the gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember when the shadows fall, you do not walk alone.”
For our August series of anthems, here is “You Do Not Walk Alone” by Elaine Hagenberg:
May God be with you till we meet again.
