World Council News #2, 16 December 2021
|
|
Welcome to the second issue of World Council News, which is also available in Spanish and French.Since we last wrote, registration for both the in-person and on-line components has opened at the new, official World Council website.
There's an ‘early bird’ registration fee of USD 950 available for in-person attendees until 31 January, while for on-line attendees the individual fee is USD 100, but YMCA National Movements will be offered a discounted fee of USD 1,500 for 100 people or USD 3,000 for 200 people. All those wishing to benefit from the discounted on-line rate should therefore contact their National Movements.
Please be assured that we are watching the COVID situation very closely, and all the more so now with the discovery of the Omicron variant. We will continue to react and to take decisions with the utmost consideration.
As it stands, we are fully committed to two full and equal experiences: the on-line and the in-person. A visit by the Implementation Team to Aarhus from 17-19 November revealed the exceptional facilities of the Music House venue and its surroundings, as well as the far-sighted and detailed preparations already made by our friends and hosts at YMCA Denmark. Meanwhile our own World YMCA experience of running three global YMCA Youth Led Solutions Summits in the last 12 months will also be invaluable for the on-line event.
For the in-person event, we're very pleased to have taken over 300 registrations so far in the form of block bookings from YMCA National Movements.
We will keep in very close touch with you, and we look forward to being with you in July 2022.
