It's a powerful technology for your teaching toolkit. Join us to learn how to foster meaningful student discussion and collaboration using Zoom's video conferencing features such as breakout rooms, polling, interactive whiteboards, text-chat, and more. 

You should attend if:

  • You're curious about the new NYU-supported Zoom tool and how you could use it in your courses
  • You're interested in using  tools like live polling and breakout rooms with your students

What is the primary predictor for academic retention? 

Research shows the importance of communication-based activities 


 

In a study of 400 million minutes of online student behavior of 111 students engaging in 151 modules or lessons, it was observed that learning design played an important role in predicting and understanding the behavior and performance of students. The primary predictor of academic retention was shown to be the relative amount of communication activities.
