I am so excited to spend October with each of you.
What you can expect from this tour:
I will be reading from Where to Begin and also a selection of other poems - some new, some old, and some I've never said out loud before.
If you have ever been to one of my tour stops then you know that we stay late, we make friends, we ask questions, we exchange emails and phone numbers, we laugh, we cry, we hug, and we offer support. So come alone, come with friends, or come with your mom, either way, I promise you will feel safe, seen, and celebrated when you walk in the door.
I will not be leaving the building until all of your books are signed and we get AT LEAST one hug in.
We made some special edition colorful prints that will only be available for sale at our little mom and pop shop on this tour.
A room dedicated to you:
I purposefully did not make this tour interview-based between myself and a moderator or friend. I am going to read some poems and then I am going to open the floor for a conversation between me and you. The times that we are living in can feel so overwhelming. My sole intention behind making this book and going on this tour is to let you know that you are not alone in how you are feeling and to be there for you. I really can't wait to hear from you. I love you so much.
This will also be my last tour until 2021, so please come out and see me! It will be a while until we get to see each other again.
P.S. If your ticket comes with a book and you already pre-ordered one, bring it with you and I will sign both books! The holidays will be just around the corner by then! You can give to a friend!
