Subject: RE: The Passing of Carl Fisher

Hello again,

Can you send this out to all district regarding the funeral plans for Carl Fisher? Much appreciated.

Carl never liked being the center of attention so in accordance with his final wishes the family will not have a memorial service. However, for family and friends who would like to pay their respects and bid him farewell, the family will have a viewing at Lima Family Mortuary in Santa Clara on Wednesday June 15, 2022 from 10am-12pm. Carl will be committed to his final resting place in a private burial with his immediate family at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Carl was beloved by many and will be truly missed.  If anyone would like to send flowers please deliver to the mortuary no later than Tuesday 6/14/22. Please reference his name.  Address below.  Or if you wish you can donate in memory of him to the American Kidney Fund as Carl was a dialysis patient with end stage kidney disease. See tribute link.

Subject: The Passing of Carl Fisher

Dear District Community,

With sadness, I share the passing of Carl Fisher, beloved husband, father, veteran, colleague, and friend, who passed away on Memorial Day at the age of 88. Carl proudly served in our District for 29 years, beginning in 1976 teaching electronics at San José City College and eventually becoming the Media Supervisor at EVC until his retirement in 2005. Before working for our district community, Carl served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1975, rising to the rank of Senior Master Chief of Avionics, serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Carl is remembered lovingly as a great, humble man who was not only brilliant but very kind and extremely generous. He is survived by his wife of 61 years - Audrey Fisher; Daughter Debra Collins EVC DSP; Son-in-law, Christopher Collins; Son Michael Fisher and Daughter-in-law, Lorine McMasters. He also leaves behind many colleagues and friends throughout the District from his years of service in our community.

Carl will be laid to rest during a private family burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Please join me in sending our heartfelt condolences and best wishes to the Fisher family during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Tammeil
