Hello Friends,

I hope that you and your loved ones had a wonderful start to the New Year and are staying safe and healthy.

On Wednesday, the Virginia General Assembly gavelled in for the 2021 Legislative Session. We’re excited to get to work! A few priorities, among many important others, include:

  • Marijuana Reform

  • Criminal Justice and Policing Reform

  • Guaranteed Paid Sick Leave

  • Ensuring Affordable Housing

  • Electric Utility Affordability

Personally, I am proud to be reintroducing legislation to end Qualified Immunity and ensure law enforcement accountability. I am also introducing bills on housing, mental health, and electric utility regulation that I am very excited about. You can read about all of the legislation I’ve introduced below, or here. I’d also encourage you to read the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus’ list of priorities for this session to learn about some of the great legislation that has been introduced by my colleagues.

If you would like to set up a time to meet with me or a member of my team to discuss your legislative priorities, you can do so here. We would love to meet with you!

Please do not hesitate to reach out to my office at deljbourne@house.virginia.gov if we can be of any assistance.

Sincerely,
