Groundhog handler, John Griffiths, says Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow and predicted an early spring during the 134th Annual Groundhog Day festivities on February 2, 2020, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. According to legend, if Punxsutawney Phil had seen his shadow, it would have meant six more weeks of winter.

BETSY BARBIEUX:  Considered an expert in Florida CAM training, Betsy Barbieux, CAM, CFCAM, CMCA, has the skill and knowledge to guide CAM managers and community association boards in handling the day-to-day operations of their communities and at the same time deal with different communication styles, difficult personalities, and conflict.  Since 1998, Betsy has educated thousands of condo, coop, and HOA CAM managers, staff members, and board members.  Betsy is a featured columnist for "The Florida Community Association Journal", was appointed by Gov. Rick Scott in 2013 to serve on the Florida Regulatory Council for Community Association Managers, has been an expert witness, and named as one of the  Distinguished Women of  the Industry for three years in a row!  CAM Matters is her video and podcast series on community association living and management.

GEORGE E. ELDER, SR.:  I have resided at 676 Lori Drive, Bonfire Mobile Home Village since mid 1999.  We became a full time resident of Bonfire in November 2013 and have been enjoying our retirement here in Florida.  Prior to retirement, I successfully owned and operated my own Insurance Agency for over 40 years.  I am still a licensed agent in Pennsylvania and Florida that requires continuing educational credits every 2 years to maintain my license.  Working in my insurance business I assisted individuals and families in planning their estate and goals.  I also retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of honorable service where I supervised various Personnel Offices including overseeing a staff of 40 plus personnel.  I have served as a member on our Pennsylvania Townships' Water and Sewer authority for 7 years helping to plan and maintain our sewer and water systems.  I am a 32nd degree mason for over 30 years and also affiliated with various other organizations both in Florida and Pennsylvania.  I am currently working as the Finance Committee chairman at Bonfire; calling BINGO and helping on various other projects throughout our community.  I look forward to serving with ROC and its members.

G. RAY SIMPSON:  Have lived at Harbor Oaks Community for 5 years. Currently on Board of Directors.  Retired over 19 years ago. Moved from Cleveland Ohio.  Worked in the Graphic Arts field for over 40 years.  Served on many boards and chaired many committees.  Would appreciate your consideration on serving R.O.C. in this area.

MARK SHAW:  Served on board of directors Mid FL ROC 10 years.  Served as officer/President for 1 year.  Created and maintained Mid-FL-ROC web 10 years.  Created email communications, schedules, posters, banner stands, tri fold brochure, printing, mini expo, invoice mailings, promotional mailings, press releases, IRS tax returns, and more - for 10 years.  Served as Mid FL ROC representative to state wide FLAROC and as their VP and moving force.  Chairman of Insurance committee that provided low cost options for Dwelling Insurance for all manufactured/mobile homes in the state of Florida.

RICHARD TWORT:  In 2006 I retired after working in the Health Care Field as a Registered Radiological Technologist (X-Ray Tech.) for 46 years and moved from Michigan to Port Orange, Florida in 2009 where my wife Gloria & I live in a Manufactured Home in Briarwood Estates M.H.P.  In Jan. 2009 I became involved with the FMO as a Park Rep. and also as a V.P. in FMO District 14.  In late 2009 I was appointed as a Director at Large on the FMO State BOD where I was re-elected every 2 years to the FMO BOD in this same position until Dec. 2019 when I was termed out due to term limits.  I have also spent the last 4 years as a Director on the Mid-FL-ROC BOD and if re-elected this year I will once again help out.
DENISE DALTON:  I am interested in a position on the Board for MidFL ROC.  I am eager to learn and to contribute wherever needed.  Being dependable, trustworthy, honest and friendly is a part of who I am.  My husband and I moved from Indiana 3 years ago to live in Florida full time.  Like most people, we moved here in part for the milder weather.  We had been coming to Florida for vacations for a long time, so it was a welcomed move.  My professional background covers a lot ot territory.  In the 80's I worked in various departments within accounting.  Payroll and Personnel Administration for 270+ employees for a manufacturing company, and accounts payable and receivable for a construction company.  My husband and I purchase a warehouse building in the 90's and renovated it for 5 years turning it into a Bed & Breakfast that we operated for 8 years. At the same time we owned and operated a carpet cleaning business and continued that business for a total of 34 years.  I am back in the office now, currently the CAM (Community Association Manager) at Lake Yale Estates Condominium Association and have been since April 2019.  I am learning and growing every day.  My husband and I love the area, Lake Yale Estates, and of course the weather!  Thank you for your consideration.
