Where We'll Go Next.

Dear Friend,

With the end of classes and commencement quickly approaching, we are looking ahead to these warmer months with renewed hope and energy.

While we look forward, we take with us the many lessons about the impact that racism and white supremacy have on different communities. Last month, we hosted two important conversations with faculty as we unpacked the verdict of the trial for former police officer Derek Chauvin and explored ways that allies can continue to elevate and support AAPI voices in the wake of increased racial violence.

Scroll down to find news from Boston University Diversity & Inclusion (BU D&I) and other related announcements, readings, and happenings. Stay tuned for a roundup email of May events around campus coming out next week.

Lastly, we'd like to leave you with this poem by Junauda Petrus, “Give The Police Departments to Grandmothers.”

Take good care,
The BU D&I Team
