The COVID-19 pandemic has created economic and social disruptions at a scale not seen in a century. Rural and urban Canada alike felt the impact of large-scale unemployment and disrupted businesses but the pandemic has also resulted in new opportunities. Dr. Karen Foster is Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Rural Futures for Atlantic Canada. She joins Research over Coffee to discuss the transformations taking place in communities across Nova Scotia and the opportunities for public policy makers to support them.
