Queer History Highlights (October 10th, 15th & 19th)
We have been looking into Waco’s unique queer history. Throughout #FlyYourPride we want to share with you some of what we found!

Resource Page Highlights (October 12th)
Earlier this year we began compiling local resources of Waco’s LGBTQ+ community. We want to spend some time during #FlyYourPride to highlight some of the resources we have come across.

Community Clean Up (October 18th)
We are excited to partner with Keep Waco Beautiful to hold a community clean up event at Sul Ross park on Sunday October 18th. To maintain social distance space is limited so sign up today and don’t forget to bring a mask!

Wear Your Pride (October 21st)
Sometimes building community in an age of social distance is as simple as wearing pride gear on the same day. Join us on Wednesday October 21st as we don our favorite pride gear for whatever you have planned for the day. Make sure to tag @WPrideNetwork with any pride filled pictures from your day and be on the lookout for other folks in their pride gear.

#FlyYourPride (October 24th)
What better way to show your pride in these strange times than to wave your flag and fly your kite. Starting on Saturday, October 10th, we will be making kite and flag kits available through the Make it in Waco platform. You can mix and match your kits to fit your wants. Then deck out your kite or flag however you want and on Saturday, October 24th, we will fly our flags and kites together if apart. Share your story on that day with #FlyYourPride.

We love you all and can’t wait to be with you again.
A big thank you to everyone who participated in #vision2025!

We will be announcing the results on October 20th.
Be on the lookout for additional emails about the following:
  • Announcement of the #FlyYourPride Kits
  • Visioning Announcement
  • Additional events
  • Queer History

Waco Pride Network is planning to start a Youth Council this year. We are now accepting applications for founding members. If you or someone you know is between the ages of 14-19 and is interested in helping build Waco LGBTQ+ community click here.
The WPN is an all-volunteer nonprofit and its efforts are made possible by those willing to donate one's time, talents, or finances to help make our dreams possible.

Whether our volunteers' contributions include a $5 monthly donation, vendor participation, donation of one's precious time, community support, committee membership, or even liking and sharing social media activity, each volunteer makes a huge difference.

Sign up to volunteer for the Waco Pride Network today. Together, and only together, can we make a difference.
Your donation will not only support the financial aspects of our mission, it will serve as a statement.

Your donation says that you stand against those that wish us to simply go away, to remain silent about who we are.

Your donation says that you stand with this community in its struggle for affirmative acceptance and recognition.
