We are excited to share this thirty minute special KXXV (News 25) put together to celebrate Pride. From one of the individuals that worked on the project we also wanted to share these words, "please know that a hard working group of LGBTQ + journalists and allies worked hard to put this together with respect for everyone in our community. We set out on a mission to educate Central Texas about the issues that affect us and finally seeing it on the air is a true accomplishment."
We are encouraged to see this kind of educational work taking place in our community!
Ways to Stay Connected
Parent Support Group
Many parents don’t know what to do when their child comes out to them at any age. This is a group of parents who have LGBTQ children that want to learn how to support, respect, and understand their children better. Waco Youth Pride Alliance
The Waco Youth Pride Alliance was created and led by youth in the Waco Community to increase our community's visibility, support, and understanding of LGBTQ youth. oin the WYPA Discord server or follow them on Instagram, @waco_youth_pride_alliance to stay updated on activities and events.
Waco Pride TNG (The Next Generation)
This is Waco Pride Network’s group for The Next Generation. Anyone 18-24 who identifies as LGBTQ+ or allies is invited to join us as we build our community in Waco together. Waco Pride Adult Group
This is Waco Pride Network’s place for Waco’s LGBTQ+ and allies to gather! You can join our Facebook Group to connect with others and check our Events Calendar to keep up with our planned activities.
A day of visibility for our Omnisexual siblings. Omnisexuality is a multisexual sexual orientation where one is attracted to all gender identities, with gender being a contributing factor towards attraction. Some omnisexuals experience attraction to different traits in different genders, and some may have a gender preference.
A week and day bringing awareness to our siblings that do not identify exclusively as a man or a woman. Here are ten ways you can be a good ally to our non-binary siblings.
