Transgender Day of Visibility

Tuesday, April 5th at 6:00 PM
at the Bosque Theatre at the Convention Center
100 Washington Ave

Hey y’all! We have an great opportunity to show our Trans friends that we are in support of who they are and validate them as individuals.

Join us at the first City Council meeting after Transgender Day of Visibility (March 31st) as we raise up the voices of our trans siblings.

Transgender Day of Visibility is an international event to recognize the resiliency of the trans community.

Waco Pride Network is planning to recognize this event by gathering trans and trans affirming voices from around Waco to speak to City Council on April 5th. At the end of every City Council meeting there is a time set aside for the council to hear from members of the public. This is a great opportunity for us to share the struggles, successes, and support of our community with our elected representatives.

We hope you will join us to share your story or be in support of those who are. The more people we bring the more clearly we will be heard.

Here is how you can participate:

  • RSVP at the link below

  • Share this information with anyone you think might be interested in speaking

  • Show up at the Bosque Theatre at 6:00 on April 5th and sign up to speak or take a seat to show your support (may want to be prepared to wait through the rest of the meeting, which tends to take between one and two hours depending on the agenda)

Please feel free to reach out to with any questions you may have.

We hope to see you there!
