Beyond the Academy network partners are working to institutionalize the best practices put forth in our Guidebook for the Engaged University. For example, at Duke University, network leaders are:

Developing a Center for Community Engagement that facilitates equitable research partnerships,

Adopting new university-wide parameters for tenure and promotion standards, and
Expanding avenues for experiential learning by graduate and professional students as well as undergraduates building on the success of programs like Bass Connections.
