Welcome to the ninth issue of the  Phreaky Briefing! My goal is to provide phreaks like yourself with information you will all enjoy and value. I don't intend to spam or hawk my wares and I'll try to keep that to a minimum (site updates will be at the bottom of the email, I know you're really here for the news)

High End / Custom: 

 
  • Your Little CNC Shop (that's the company name) released a new batch of HDS Systems flashlight bezels with groves for tritium vials, this time both in Titanium and in Stainless steel, with a variety of finish options.
  • Muyshondt flashlights launched "The Observatory". Details are unclear as of yet but it will be a "chronicle" of inspiration for "Luminauts"    
  • Focus Works dropped their first 18650 tubes for the Eryx on Friday and Jordy also posted photos of a blue and a black anodized Eryx Echo (lower cost version of the Eryx).

  • BLF project LT1 lantern is in development, some of the team has recently received prototypes for testing. Basic specs will be (subject to change): 1-4 x 18650 batteries, USB-C charging, adjustablee CCT, and of course, high CRI.  
  • Lumintop released the Pico, their take on the tiny keychain light. It will be available in 3 colors (black, silver or pink) and feature USB charging with130 lumens output. 
  • Nitecore Tip 2 details have been released: 720 lumens out of 2x XP-G2 LEDs with a detachable magnetic tailcap/ keychain loop and a sealed USP port for waterproofing
  • Convoy released the M21A, a 21700 sized version of their popular C8 host.
  • Xtar released the VP4C charger, an upgraded version of their VP4 with more precise battery voltage measurments, improved display and the ability to choose /25A/.5A/1A charge current
  • Fireflies released the E01: a 21700/18650 based powerhouse pumping 2300 lumens out of a singl SST40, behind a TIR optic.

  • PhotonPhreaks T-shirts are still available! I only have a couple left in XL, Large is completely sold out. I recieved a bunch of requests for M and 2XL so I have another batch en route, in a (very slightly) different color. I should be able to have the next drop on the site by next weekend, and after that I will probably move on to a different design. If you want an Octo shirt grab one while you can! The PhotonPhreaks group on facebok gets a bit of an advance notice on drops  so join the group for future sneak peaks and secret info!
